Week 8 Update - Ms. Tammy’s Explorers

Hello Explorer Families!

We had a great day on the farm today! We learned about bees, their different roles, their life cycle, and the honey-making process. We got to observe some bees taken temporarily from their hive and see their honeycomb and how they work together as a team. Then we made beautiful candles from beeswax! We also learned how bees communicate by dancing and practiced some of the silly moves. Our farm chore today was watering our sunflower house. The sunflowers are growing into a beautiful circle that will create a unique place to play. We explored the creek and did our “sit spots” practicing using our senses to be present with the nature around us.
